Dorm Rooms & Private Cabins
Dorm rooms come with personal lockers with built-in power points for charging gadgets. Each dorm bed has a USB plug, a reading light, and a curtain offering partial privacy. Some rooms have an ensuite bathroom, while private cabins include a queen bed and a single bunk. Private rooms in the main building feature a balcony. The hostel also offers a queen room and a double or twin room with private bathroom.
Shared Kitchens & BBQ
Three shared kitchens are equipped with fridges, freezers, microwaves, ovens, and all needed cookware. Tea and coffee are provided. The kitchens are cleaned daily from 8:00 AM. There are also BBQ facilities and outdoor furniture with a picnic area and sun terrace.
Yoga, Games & Movie Nights
The hostel offers free yoga classes, outdoor movie nights, game nights, bingo, pub quizzes, and Mario Kart competitions. The common lounge has a TV, board games, books, and a guitar. There is also ski storage for wet gear.

The Flaming Kiwi is a 5-minute walk from the town centre and a supermarket. It is 500 metres from the Skyline Gondola and Luge, 700 metres from Shotover River, and 5.8 km from AJ Hackett Bungy Jumping - Kawarau Bridge. Parking is limited 3 spaces on-site with free street parking available nearby.
Parking, Laundry & Security
The hostel offers key card access, CCTV in common areas, fire extinguishers, and safety deposit boxes. Luggage storage is available, and daily housekeeping includes cleaning the rooms and kitchens. Towels are available for rent (3 NZD charge), and laundry services are provided.
